Full Implementation of ENERGOV Portal begins Jan. 18

Jan 14, 2022

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Planning and Inspections will stop accepting paper applications beginning Jan. 18 due to full implementation of the ENERGOV portal.

Cumberland County Planning and Inspections implemented a new, online portal called ENERGOV for all development plan submissions in July 2021. The ENERGOV portal can be accessed from the Cumberland County Planning and Inspections main webpage:

cumberlandcountync.gov/departments/planning-group/planning-and-inspections

Click on the link for “Applications and Forms” on the main webpage.

This portal allows applicants to digitally submit materials without the need for paper plan submissions. Digital submission allows for a more streamlined and efficient staff review process.

Please note that Planning and Inspections staff are prioritizing digital plan submissions ahead of any paper submittals. Submission of any paper development plans will result in your project being deemed incomplete and denied until entered into the ENERGOV portal by the applicant.

Applicants without internet access can come to the Planning Department to access a public computer and scanner to access the ENERGOV portal.  Planning and Inspections staff will provide assistance as necessary.

Applicants who need assistance entering materials from their home or office may call the Planning and Inspection staff at 910-678-7600.
