FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners approved the recommended $34,690,000 worth of projects to support the short-term goals outlined by the County’s American Rescue Plan Committee. County Manager Amy Cannon presented the recommendations during a regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting on Monday, Sept. 20.
The County’s three-member ARP Committee, Commissioner Jimmy Keefe, Committee Chair, Board Vice Chairman Glenn Adams and Commissioner Dr. Toni Stewart met Sept. 7 to consider initial allocations for projects using the federal funding. The recommended projects address short-term goals outlined by the committee to improve the quality of life for residents in Cumberland County.
The ARP committee presented the following recommended projects at the Sept. 9 agenda session. The Board approved the recommendations unanimously and directed the item go on the Sept. 20 Regular Board Meeting agenda.
