FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County Historic Courthouse located at 130 Gillespie St., will temporarily close Tuesday, June 3, at 2:30 p.m. to allow for electrical work in the building. The Historic Courthouse is expected to reopen for regular business hours, Wednesday, June 4. The County wishes to make the public aware of the following items, related to the availability of County functions residing in the building, during the temporary closure. These functions include the County Planning and Inspections Department, FAMPO and Community Transportation Program, Environmental Health Division, and Engineering and Infrastructure Department.
Alternative Locations for Services

Cumberland County Planning and Inspections Department: During the closure, Planning and Inspections field personnel will continue working as normal.

Environmental Health Services: For assistance with on-site wastewater permits and inspections, residents may visit the third floor of the Cumberland County Department of Public Health at 1235 Ramsey St., Fayetteville, or call 910-433-3618.
