FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.– Cumberland County’s Tax Administration Office announces the addition of online payments for Gross Receipt Taxes through the county’s official payment app, MyCCNCPay. With the addition of this service, business owners operating within the Food and Beverage or Lodging/Room Occupancy sectors can now pay Gross Receipt Taxes in a convenient, user-friendly online experience.
“Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for Cumberland County business owners to do business, focusing instead on growing their companies and providing residents and visitors with an excellent customer experience,” said Joe Utley, Cumberland County Tax Administrator. “MyCCNCPay makes it easier than ever to quickly pay Gross Receipt/Special Sales taxes.”
In addition to Gross Receipts, MyCCNCPay offers residents real-time payment processing for multiple county services such as paying property taxes and utility bills. Through MyCCNCPay, customers can pay online as a guest or create a personalized profile that securely stores utility account information, payment history, and payment methods, and notifies residents of upcoming payments.
To file and pay Gross Receipt Taxes online, businesses must first register with the Tax Office to create an account and request a Personal Identification Number (PIN). The online portal provides the convenience of filing taxes, making payments, accessing account history, and managing multiple businesses all in one place. Business owners will file their Gross Receipt Taxes through the county’s system, after which they will be redirected to MyCCNCPay to complete the payment. Gross Receipt Taxes can be paid at that time or a later date and prior to payment deadlines.
