Visit NC Farms App Features Cumberland County Locations

May 24, 2021, 12:58 PM by Claudia Sievers

Cumberland County Cooperative Extension is excited to announce the launch of the Visit NC Farms App for Cumberland County residents. Cumberland County Cooperative Extension is partnering with the NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services to provide this app free of charge to all interested persons.

The Visit NC Farms App uses a location-based phone app and a website to help folks find unique and interesting places to visit. The App will provide information on a variety of agriculture opportunities from pick-your-own vegetables and produce to vineyards and wineries to eating and drinking establishments that source local ingredients. Information will include details concerning the operation, hours of operation, and driving directions.

This App is a great tool for individuals looking to connect with farms and local food by providing information about the places they can visit and how to get there.

“We encourage everyone to download the app today and start visiting the various farms and other local agriculture-based venues,” said Cooperative Extension Director Lisa Childers.

For questions concerning the Visit NC Farms App, please contact the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension office at 910-321-6860.

Visit the App Store and download the Visit NC Farms App today! The app was sponsored in part by the Cumberland County Farm Bureau.

For accommodations for persons with disabilities, contact Lisa Childers at 910.321.6880, no later than ten business days before the event.
