FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Public Utilities has lifted the boil water advisory for customers of the Southpoint Water System.
Based on the laboratory analysis of water samples collected from the district on Thursday, Nov. 30, it is no longer necessary to boil water used for human consumption.
The advisory was put in place on Wednesday, Nov. 29 following a water main break on the Bladen County side of the line, which resulted in periods of low pressure and service outages.
Cumberland County Public Utilities appreciates customers’ cooperation and patience as staff worked to resolve the issue.
