FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County government offices and the court system will close Monday, May 26, 2025, in observance of Memorial Day. Closures include all Solid Waste landfills and container sites, Animal Services and all eight library branches.

Solid Waste

• Landfills and container sites will reopen Tuesday, May 27, 2025, for regular operating hours.
• For landfill and container site hours of operation, visit cumberlandcountync.gov/solidwaste.

Animal Services

• Animals Services will reopen Tuesday, May 27, 2025, for regular operating hours.
• To report an after-hours animal emergency, please call Cumberland County Emergency Services at 910-323-1141 or 911.

Libraries

• All library branches will be closed Sunday, May 25, 2025, through Monday, May 26, 2025.
