FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County government offices and the court system will close Friday, July 4, 2025, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Closures include all Solid Waste landfills and container sites, Animal Services and all eight library branches.

Solid Waste

• Landfills and container sites will reopen Saturday, July 5, 2025, for regular operating hours.
• For landfill and container site hours of operation, visit cumberlandcountync.gov/solidwaste.

Animal Services

• Animals Services will reopen Monday, July 7, 2025, for regular operating hours.
• To report an after-hours animal emergency, please call Cumberland County Emergency Services at 910-323-1141 or 911.

Libraries

• All library branches will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, and will reopen Monday, July 7, 2025, for regular operating hours.
