Pesticide Collection Day at Cooperative Extension March 28

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, in partnership with the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension, will offer a Pesticide Collection Day for residents in Cumberland County. The pesticide drop-off is also open to residents of surrounding counties. The local site manager will be Cumberland County Extension Agent Liz Joseph. Collection will take place on March 28, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the front parking lot of the Cumberland County Agriculture Center, 301 E. Mountain Dr., Fayetteville.

Nearly all pesticide products will be collected. If you have liquid pesticide containers larger than 5 gallons or unlabeled pesticides, please contact Cooperative Extension before bringing them to the collection site. No gas cylinders will be accepted, but assistance can be provided. For more information, contact Liz Joseph at 910-321-6862 or liz_joseph@ncsu.edu.
