FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Cooperative Extension announces the April 2024 Better Living Series workshops. All April workshops will be held at the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension office, located at 301 E. Mountain Dr., in Fayetteville.
The workshop Small Space Gardening will be held April 17 from 12 – 1:30 p.m. Don’t think you have enough space to grow a vegetable garden? Well think again. Come to this workshop to learn various methods of growing vegetables in a limited space. The workshop will include constructing a small, raised bed structure that can be taken home for a small-scale garden. Registration and the $15 fee are due by April 12. The workshop Growing Organically for the Home Garden & Landscape will be held April 24 from 12 – 1:30 p.m. and again from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Learn techniques to grow delicious foods and beautiful landscapes through more organic methods. Topics include soil improvement, proper plant selection, organic pest control and more tips for growing organically. Registration and the $10 fee are due by April 19.
