Republican & Unaffiliated Precinct Workers Needed For May 17 Primary Election

The Board of Elections needs voters who are registered as unaffiliated or Republican to serve as precinct workers for all 75 polling sites for the May 17 primary election.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County Board of Elections needs voters who are registered as unaffiliated or Republican to serve as precinct workers for all 75 polling sites for the May 17 primary election.

Voters who are registered as Democrat, Republican or unaffiliated are needed to serve as poll workers in the Beaver Dam, Cedar Creek, Judson-Vander and Black River precincts.

Poll worker training starts in late March. Poll workers will be paid $25 for training and $130 for election day, which starts at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17.

Registered voters may locate their precinct on the Board of Elections website at cumberlandcountync.gov/elections.

Filing Deadline is Friday, March 4

Candidate filing for the election ends at noon on Friday, March 4.

 

The Board of Elections is in the E. Newton Smith Center, 227 Fountainhead Lane, Fayetteville. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
